How Could I Be Such A Fool, 2026, oil on canvas, 100×100 cm.
Memory and the continuity of experiences, resuming interrupted paths. The elephant is a recurring subject in my work and is often depicted as a map or a mosaic of colors. This is a spontaneous version that allows glimpses of the initial brushstrokes and presents itself as an unfinished work, open to a range of possibilities, a constant feature of my work. The title is taken from a Spanish film.
This painting belongs to a series of paintings I began in late 2025 with the intention of giving life to a project conceived as a school or a movement, and each of these paintings was created with the aim of potentially being a manifesto of the project itself. These are obviously unfinished or partial manifestos, part of a constantly evolving creative and productive process. The title is a phrase associated with the painting, conceived as an abstract composition. There is a sort of musical approach in the development of the abstract composition, and the compositional elements are primarily colorful abstract forms, sometimes figurative, arranged with brushstrokes.
